Dalam memberikan hope expression Anda dapat menggunakan kalimat formal maupun informal untuk mengungkapkan harapan. Ekspresi normal adalah dengan hanya menggunakan kata kerja ‘harapan’ dalam tense yang dibutuhkan oleh kalimat:”I hope to see you soon.” Dalam menggunakan hope expression bisa menerapkan dengan objek ataupun tidak perlu menggunakan objek. Karena hope bersifat transitive atau diikuti direct object atau instransive atau tidak diikuti direct object. Contoh dengan menggunakan objek “Yudha hopes that he can achieve her long term plan” Contoh dengan tidak menggunakan objek “I hope so”.
